Warranty Information

[A printable version is available]

At Speedy Pit Stop, we offer flexible warranty coverage options to match your needs and budget. Warranty coverage applies to both parts and service unless otherwise noted and must be selected at the time of estimate approval. Below are our available coverage levels:

  • Standard Warranty: 30 Days / 1,000 Miles - Included at no extra charge on eligible repairs, this is our default warranty unless a higher tier is selected.

Extended Warranty Options:

You can choose additional coverage for added peace of mind:

  • 90 Days / 3,000 Miles

  • 180 Days / 6,000 Miles

  • 1 Year / 12,000 Miles

  • 2 Years / 24,000 Miles

Extended warranty options typically come at a higher price, as they may involve better-quality parts and the replacement of additional related components to help ensure the repair lasts the full duration of the coverage. They also account for potential follow-up diagnostics, replacement service, and administrative handling. Choosing an extended warranty helps protect your investment and provides a clear understanding of what's covered and for how long.

All warranties are limited and subject to the terms outlined in this policy. Certain services or parts may be excluded depending on source or application.

General Warranty Terms and Conditions

Warranty coverage applies only to repairs and parts supplied and installed by Speedy Pit Stop.

The following terms apply:

Coverage

  • Includes defects in materials (parts) and workmanship (service).
  • Valid only for the duration and mileage selected at time of approval.
  • Repair or replacement will be performed at our discretion at no added cost.

Eligibility

  • Warranty must be selected before service begins.
  • Proof of original invoice is required for claims.
  • Coverage is non-transferable.
  • All warranty work must be performed by Speedy Pit Stop.

Exclusions

  • Normal wear items (e.g., pads, bulbs, fluids) unless failure is from workmanship.
  • Damage from negligence, accidental damage, misuse, or unrelated failures.
  • Pre-existing conditions, external factors, or issues resulting from vehicle age.
  • Loss of use, towing, or outside service costs.
  • Diagnostics not tied to a verified failure in parts or service.

If a diagnostic test is performed, but the issue is not caused by a defective part or improper work done by us, then the diagnostic effort itself is not covered under the warranty.

  • Customer-supplied or used parts (unless noted otherwise).

  • Customer or third-party repair attempts on coverable issues (such attempts void the warranty).

Limitations

  • Coverage limited to original invoice amount.
  • Whichever comes first: time or mileage.
  • Vehicle must be returned for inspection before any warranty work.
  • Some services (e.g., advanced electrical work or intermittent issues) may have modified terms listed in estimate.

Warranty Claim

Contact us as soon as a problem is noticed. Do not attempt to repair or have third-party work done before we inspect it, as this will void coverage. We'll schedule a time to inspect and determine coverage status.

No Warranty for Customer-Supplied Parts:

This applies when warranty coverage does not qualify or is declined. Situations include customer-supplied parts, experimental or non-standard repairs, or when specified under estimate notes.

Service and parts warranty is normally covered through parts sales, and our pricing does not include provisions for service warranty without it.

Therefore, no warranty of any kind is offered when using customer-supplied parts (in the rare instances we agree to use them), as failures may result from parts not sold by us or from a third-party misdiagnosis. We also cannot provide free service to replace them if they turn out to be defective or if the wrong parts were installed at the customer's request.

Allowing exceptions would introduce ambiguity into the warranty process, since the exact cause of a malfunction may be unclear.
